I didn't smoke. The biggest thing I noticed is that people who made me nervous before didn't give me the same amount of anxiety. However there are side effects that are different for everyone, i suggest not having caffine with it because it will intensify any side effects. It gave me energy and focus unlike ssri's and I was not sleepy, but you need to still get your 8 hrs of sleep for best results to avoid irritability, etc. Ringing in ears was a little of a problem, but not much , an increased heartbeat. However it is one of the most successful treatments I have recieved. I too take clonzapam as needed, but avoid for fear of addiction. I think my brain switches into a different mode when I am in a social setting, and therefore I can't respond normally. I think their is an inhibitory neural response ( makes you not talk)instead of excitatory response (which would lead to talking). I think I also have expectations that cause issues for me socially.
