Anxiety??? What do you think? - Anxiety Message Board

Ok, so I read one of the posts on the symptoms of Anxiety, and I'm pretty sure I have it....most noticeable the heart symptoms, palpitations and rapid or pounding heart. The pounding heart thing just started recently, so I think I am going to make a dr. appt soon. All last year I was having palpitations. I don't think I have any real anxiety attacks though. Is it normal to feel the rapid/pounding heart even while your doing nothing? I'm not sure if its anxiety only when your feeling anxious or nervous about something. But I am not anxious or nervous at all right now and my heart gets crazy!

I had the same problem about 3 years ago. My heart seemed to race all the time and I got skipped beats too which really freaked me out. Definitely go to the doctor's just to rule out any other causes of the palps. Exercise and eating healthy have helped me a lot as well as my beta blockers!

I also have those symptoms and the doctor put me on Effexor XR and clonazepan as a sleeping aid.

Go to the doc ASAP! They say that behind an anxiety problem there's a hidden depression so take care of yourself!
