Eye focusing problem/anxiety

Does anyone else have weird dizzy sensations when they go from focusing on something closeup then quickly switching to looking at something far away? When I do that sometimes, especially when I'm out at stores, etc. (outside of my comfort zone) it tend to start up the whole anxiety attack.

Or maybe I just need to get my eyes checked?

I have it as well. I have had my eye and ears checked - all fine.

This is a symptom of anxiety.

What has helped me if i get dizzy is to just simply look at my hands for a few seconds.

Weird but it works for me.

Hi;

I get this at the same time every night or at least really close to it. I think I get it because my meds are wearing off and more then likely its Effexor to blame. Anyway just an idea.

take care

Thanks for your replies. I'm not on any meds so that can't be it.

The last time I had an anxiety flare-up was about 5 years ago and I had the same symptom back then. Since then for other reasons I've had a brain scan and my eyes checked and they were both fine. So I'm not surprised it's the anxiety. It's just not one of the commonly listed symtoms.
