I go to a psychiatrist and he has me taking generic Prozac and I'm up to 30mg. he is going to have me go up to 40mg. I've been taking the prozac with Ativan 1mg twice a day and it's really helped my nausea that was really bothering me. He now wants me to try Klonopin 1mg. twice a day. I know that a while back I was trying to take Valium and I didn't like how I felt, I used to could take it a long time ago when I was younger. I know eveyone responds different to different drugs. Has Klonopin worked for alot of you?

I made the same change. It pretty much felt the same. Klonopin stays in your body longer.

I was taking ativan twice a day and when I made the switch to Klonopin I went to 1mg at bedtime for a month and then switched to .5mg once daily. Taking it twice daily i think would knock me out. But everyone is defferent.

The best thing I did was this switch.

Thanks, j2006 for your response! I hope I do okay on it. I have a few days before I start it. The psychiatrist told me it would stay in your body longer.
I know I've had a hard time sleeping and the Ativan 1mg really has helped, so it sounds like the Klonopin will do the same if not better.
I am so fearful of changing meds. I've had a time in the past maybe it will be alright since I've been able to take the Prozac.
