Anyone tried naturopath and these natural supplements?

Hello

I have been suffering from anxiety for a long time and I finally got up the courage to seek some help.

I had my first visit with a naturopathic doctor today. First, she was so wonderful and I felt as though she was treating me as a friend, not just another patient. Second, she recommended I take the amino acid 5 hpt 2x daily (once in the morning and once before bed) as well as 1 scoop of a powdered magnesium before bed.

I'm just wondering if anyone has tried either or both of these to relieve anxiety. I am really hoping this works!

Thank you!!

Re: Anyone tried naturopath and these natural supplements?

thanks for the response! the amino acid 5htp is definitely making a difference in my everyday anxiety. I am still having it (I've only taken the amin acids for 4 days) but it is not nearly as extreme as I was having it. As for the magnesium, it made me so sick to my stomach that I can't take it. But I highly recommend the 5 htp.

I too have went this route before and was suggested to use the same things. Unfortunately there's not much in the "natural" world of supplements that can help a chemical imbalance like this, but the 5htp definately helps take the edge off things for a while.

Good luck in your journey!
