is anyone else on Citalopram? i've started it today 10mg, I have such a low tolerance to meds, I/my body/mind go into overdrive and along with the anxiety i'm sure i increase the symtoms

Has anyone got anything to say good/bad?

Love from Manchester

Re: Citalopram

If that is the Generic for Celexa - I liked it. It was a little too sedating from me. But it worked!!

Try to relax and if you feel tired on it - take it at bedtime or at dinner time.

Re: Citalopram

Hi, I am on Celexa (brand name) and I really like it. I actually don't find it too sedating and am more energetic than usual. You never know how you'll react until you stay on it for about a month......

Re: Citalopram

Hi, i've been on it for 3 days and for the past 2 days, i have been having bad side effects. I have already started feeling a bit happier and more relaxed but i can't sleep properly even though i'm exhausted and all my body is aching and i feel a little bit sick too but i'm just trying to stick it out cause i am already noticing a small difference after just 3 days which is good. Btw, i'm taking 20mg a day.

Re: Citalopram

This is what I was prescribed about a month ago. My Dr. wanted me to take 20mg every night before bed. The first night I took 20mg I had a panic attack but I decided to continue through. I decided to do 5mg for about 4 days then up it to 10mg for about six days. I went up to 20mg and that is where I am at now. The first couple weeks were so horrible. I had to take Ativan nightly to get through anxiety attacks from the medication. After a couple days on 20mg it was much better and now the only side affect I have been having is not being able to sleep well at all. My anxiety is much better and I don't have the stomach problems I was having. I don't feel any less or more happy though...maybe that is because it was just prescribed for anxiety that I was having.
