For the past couple days I have had the feeling of a lump in my throat. It feels like food is stuck in there and I am scared to eat because I feel the lump more. It feels like the food I am eating is not going down and it just keeps piling up. I am pretty sure this is just my anxiety but I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this with their anxiety.
Just a suggestion. If you feel it's getting worse, you can always go to a GP and have them look down your throat to see if there is any problem/infection. That should be really easy for them to do.
Just go to the doctor eliminate any physical problems, and if its anxiety, you will know and can start to deal with it. But you must go get it checked out forst to be sure.
If you are worrying like I do a lot - it could be acid reflux. Acid reflux at it's worst will give you the feeling like you have a golf ball stuck i nyoru throat. Call you regular doc and get it checked. There are meds for acid reflux that really help, helped me with mine.
I had this many years ago and after several incorrect diagnosis, one doctor finally explained it as a condition called Globus Hystericus which can accompany anxiety.
