Xanax XR dosage?
I have been taking Xanax XR .5mg 2 times a day for about 6 months. I don't think it's working anymore. My doctor says that only if I need it should I take 3 a day. I'm just wondering if maybe the doseage should be increased because I just don't think it's helping me anymore. Thanks for any input. I have an appt with the doctor in about 2 weeks and am not sure if I should ask for an increase or not.

I take Xanax XR as well and I think the regular Xanax works better than the XR at times. Not to mention its much cheaper, the XR is 50.00 with insurance believe it or not and the regular is 10.00 go figure, I would ask the doc if maybe he needs to either increase your dose or put you on something else that will work. But do let him know that the XR isnt working.
