anxiety problems, can anybody offer any info?

Hi everybody.

My name is chris, and here is my problem...

About a year and a half now i have been out of work due to a lower back injury. I do not exercise normally either, my weight is about 195 lbs. So for a while now i have been fearing things and situations that are not "clean" or sanitary. My folks whom have been saying this for a while now say that i am becoming a "jerm-a-phobe". I noticed that for a while my emotions where no edge alot, everything from anger for no reason to crying and even as far as i think i am going to die. Up until about a week ago i was not feeling anything except those feelings. But i noticed that now i have a new pain, and this is located on the left to sometimes right side of my heart location. This pain isnt all that bad, it throbs just for a second or 2 then goes away. It isnt a steady reoccuring pain though, it comes and goes without notice or cause that i belive, in other words i havent or wasnt doing anything hard when it just comes. It started last week as a really low not painful throb, not the throb is gone but it seems to just hit my heart area and then goes away just as fast. I spend alot of time in my house and hardly ever leave except for church and maybe one other time during the week. Could this be just anxiety causing this pain? If so i am going to start walking and getting out more often, how long would one say before this goes away assuming its from stress and or anxitey? PLEASE HELP!!!! thank you for reading this

It sounds to me like you are left to yourself to think alot. you may not have enough goin on in your life to keep your mind on other things. the not exercizing thing will cause anxiety in alot of people, because you have alot of energy in your body that your not using up, that can cause anxious feelings through your whole body. a simple walk everyday will help out with that. you can take it slow and just walk down your street. the pain your are feeling is probably from the anxiety, it takes a toll on your body to be stressed out 24/7. I actually have some of the same phobias, like death and germs sometimes, and the best way i can deal with it is actually thinking about the worst that can happen, and i realize its not as bad as im making it out to be. just know that there are millions of people who have the same germs and such around them and there plent healthy.

well to say its all in your head is kinda playing down your problems. dont think that im saying its no big deal because it is. its just that when you dont have alot going on in your life your mind wonders into thing that scare you sometimes. that coupled with the need for exercizecan cause many issues. if i were you i would try taking 5 htp. its a vitamin or herbal supplement that greatly reduces stress and anxiety.it stablizes your mood and is safe to take. you can get it at any walmart or pharmacy
