I've been having anxiety/depression issues during the past three weeks and the feelings I have are amplified when I am at school. I have a physical disability and because of this I need to have an aide at school and am alone with her in study hall because my laptop is in this room and sometimes I have to dictate to her. I feel like we have nothing to talk about any more and like I'm irritating her but she says I'm not. I logically know that I'm not annoying her, it's just boring for her and me as well. I feel really depressed and down when I'm in my little room alone with my aide and I don't know why it's bugging me so much. I know I am not responsible for her feelings...it's her job for her to be here to help me and I'm only responsible for my own feelings and actions.

I started 10mg of Lexapro on Thursday and I think I'm actually more anxious in the mornings which is the worst time for me because I have study hall first thing for an hour and fifteen minutes because I have to go to school a half an hour early because of my disability and needing to take the bus. I still feel like I'm annoying my aide and that I'm being rude because we don't talk much.

For those who have had success with Lexapro, how long did it take before you started to feel better? Do you think it will help with the issues I explained above? Right now I just feel like going home and hiding in my bed but I know I have to get through the day. I don't know how I'm going to handle six more months of feeling this way every time I have to go to school. I want to feel better!
