What happens when you miss a dose of your SSRI?

I took two Prevacids the other day instead of a Prevacid and a morning Effexor. I never even noticed what I had done until I checked the bottles that night. I felt fine and ended up taking the Effexor about 10am the next morning. Does anyone have reactions going 48 hours between doses? Does it depend on what kind of stressors are affecting you on a particular day?

It depends on the SSRI your taking some have a longer half life's than others-
in other words some stay in your system longer such as Prozac so you don't experience withdrawal as quickly.

Lucky you! My husband is trying to come off the Effexor and it has been a horrible experience. From what I hav heard it is one of the hardest because it has a short half life.
