can anxiety cause this? - Anxiety Message Board

i was just wondering can anxiety make you see your heart beat in your chest?i have had it since 2004,and i have had numberous of ecg`s,a 24 hour ecg,echocardigram,and they have all come back clear yet i can still see my haert beat in my chest,i am just worried that my doctor or the hospital have missed something,i am more worried cause it just came on,not like i have had it since birth,but then i tell myself if it was to do with my heart surley something would have happened by now and i have played soccer as well since then.but my main concern is that i dont feel stressed or anxious so i dont know what to think or what to do.

If I lay very still on my back, I can see my heart beat in my stomach.
Especially if I'm anxious, because my heart beats faster. I don't really think it's anything to worry about. Especially since you've had tests done.

yeah saying that last night i seen it beat in my stomach as well,but my only worry is that it seems to beat fast even if i dont feel anxious or stressed,and i know you are right in a way that if i had these tests done surley they would have found something if there was anything,i know this may sound stupid but it could be due to lack of iron in my body which could be causing it?the main thing is i dont think i have something bad,but yet i dont think its stress and anxiety neither,

I had the same problem and went to my dr. and he said it is anxiety attack. no heart attack. but each person is different..

hi caren r,i hope its all under control at least.but may i ask you can you still see your heart beating even if you dont feel stressed or anxious?
