| Re: klonopin
Jason, I have been on Klonopin for over a year now. My Internist prescribed it for me. He told me at the time that he has several patients that are on it long term. He also told me I would more than likely be on something- be it klonopin or another medication for the rest of my life. So, according to my Dr I don't think it is problem to be on it forever. My only problem with Klonopin is that it stopped working for me and rather than up my dose (I am on 0.5mg) we decided to start Lexapro with klonopin only at night. My understanding is that Lexapro is a better longer acting medication for GAD. I hope this info helps. Best of luck to you. <BT THE WAY>- I see you are in Nashville. I love Nashville!!! It's a great place.
