| Re: If off celexa for 3 months, do you really need it?
Hi Jane! My niece began to suffer from postpartum depression after her 2nd child was born and it was decided that she would take Wellbutrin. She wanted another child and wanted to stop the med, so it was advised that she could decrease and stop the med during the first trimester, but able to resume it in the second trimester. I think now that there are a lot of ob-gyn doctors who have found that the meds are helpful to the mothers during pregnancy without any problem with the developing babies. I am grateful to medicine in this day and age because when I got pregnant with my son in 1987 I had to stop the tranquilizer I was taking because of risk to the fetus and baby. Unfortunately, I didn't leave the house during the whole pregnancy by myself because of ungodly panic attacks and agoraphobia. My nerves were that bad. A brief visit to the ob-gyn would probably clear up any angst that you might have. God bless and take care--Hopeto--
