valerian root and st john's wort question

I have depression and social anxiety. I took myself off my medicine a couple years ago and it seems like both are getting much worse now that I'm at college. I also don't have insurance anymore so I decided to go to walgreens and get over the counter medicine.
I ended up getting valerian root and st john's wort. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is okay to take these two together? I also take excedrine for migranes. If anyone knows if it is safe (or not) to take these together, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.
