I had the same symptoms and when I visited the psychiatrist I was put on Lexapro 10 mg, Seroquel 50 mg and Klonopin 1mg twice a day. That combination helped me reduce my anxiety and eliminated the maddening shortness of breath.
As with any medication be sure to ask about the side effects which could be severe especially with the benzodiazepine drugs (Klonopin) and the Atypical antipsychotics (Seroquel). Also remember that benzodiazepine should only be use for short term treatment of anxiety unless it is absolutely necessary.
