My friend, all medicines are ok to help you out of the present rut but the only thing you need is you. You need yourself back, if you know what I mean. Unless you try persistently to boost your confidence, and slowly gain control of your life, you will find that MEDICATION WILL TAKE YOU ONLY SO FAR.
I have been dignosed with anxiEty and panic disorter for the last eight years. I took medicines to help me control the SYMPTOMS, but it wasn't until, with the help of my psychiatrist, I began getting hold of my life and gaining control that I started getting better. What do I mean by control?
First, find something you like to do, like taking up a hobby, joining a club, starting exercise, etc. Especially the last one will help you lose weight AND produce the feel good hormones which will stabilize your mood. The fact that you are seing a psychiatrist will help you. Especially if you start psychoanalysis to look into the deeper subconscious issues which trigger the anxiety.
You must pick yourself up. Even if you started perimenopause, you can still do things for youserf and your family and control the hormonal imbalances by feeling good about yourself.
And a final word: Doing things for others, like volunteering to help people in need, will increase the level of your happiness more than anything and therefore lessen your anxiety. I have done all the things I have been suggesting to you and I have been off all pills for the last eight months even though I have been perimenopausal for the last 3-4 years!!!
So there IS HOPE. DO NOT DISPAIR.
