I have been experiencing dizziness which is really affecting me. It normaly happens when i have a headache. I come over funny in the supermarket the other day and nearly fainted, after that i have been dizzy like im going to fall over. It has been 2 weeks now. Anyone have any ideas?
Its probably similar to mine, sorry to say ive been bad for 6 weeks, sort of unbalanced in the head ( my friends say Im always like it anyway) but joking aside, its a viral infection of the inner ear, takes ages to go, ive been on stematil and betahistine with no improvement - Im hoping its just going to dissapear as quickly as it came-feels like your drunk and yet sober!! Ive had all tests done and Im suppolisdly really fit and well - yeah it feels like it - some days its worse, best to get out in open spaces it helps lots - if I stay indoors it just gets worse! I play golf so u can imagine how bad my game has got over the past six weeks!! I wish you better but dont worry lots of people have this virus so were not alone - its just so worrying x

I get a lot of dizzyness that I think is just from anxiety. A lot of people do - very common amonst people with anxiety disorder. So it could just be that. Would be good to check out to make sure it's not a virus or something.
I also believe I have vestibular disorder (runs in my family) and it's not really all that serious - it just means your inner ear gets messed for usually un unknown reason and you have to deal with crappy balance and vertigo the rest of your life. But my dad's had it for years and he can still drive and everything. He doesn't like to swim because he gets confused as to which way is up if he goes under water, but lives a pretty normal life. It also seems that there's some not totally understood connection between vestibular disorder and anxiety but I don't know too much about that. Not sure the docs even understand much about that.

Also, if you drink alcohol - stop! Doing so has really helped reduce my dizzyness.

You might also consider having your blood sugar checked. I was dizzy all the time and discovered that it was due to hypoglycemia which in turn, set off my anxiety. Maybe your sugar is out of whack and that's easy to fix.
