Weird symptoms.... Really stuck....

Hi Ive recently discovered this board I and thought id like to ask something. Recently ive been diagnosed with panic and anxiety disorder. However, i always felt this constant rocking sensation when sitting straight(back and forth) only way to relief them is for me to rock my body back and forth... and frequently a sudden sinking, falling, dropping sensation. i also feel very detached and unreal from my surroundings, like im going to faint at any moment. i am also constantly yawning and tired. ive went to the ENT and they checked my ears and saw no signs of abnormalty. i also do NOT have ringing in my ears but sometimes they do pop (probably anxiety related). neuro did a CT scan and could not find anything too. im really confused as they are so persistent i really doubt they came from anxiety/panic disorder.... i am a smoker for 2 years (I'm a teenager) and a light drinker... please help.. thanks..
Vincent

Re: Weird symptoms.... Really stuck....

Hey Vincent. I was also diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder a few years ago. I am not quite sure what you mean by the rocking sensation but if you feel kind of like you are on a boat then I have felt that symptom. The detachment can also be a symptom of anxiety. This happens to me during panic attacks, it feels like I am watching a movie of my life or something. I also had a huge problem with feeling like I was going to faint. Sometimes it was constant for days. I would say that was actually my worst anxiety symptom. The yawning could actually be related to this - by yawning a lot you are exhaling a lot and it can mess up the CO2 levels in your blood and make you feel faint. It isn't dangerous at all but just makes you feel uncomfortable. So anyway I think that your symptoms can be explained by the anxiety disorder. What I do in these situations is realize that it is just the anxiety, there is nothing actually wrong with me, and then I just make sure that I am breathing normally (not taking super deep breaths and not yawning a lot) and it usually helps. I saw a psychologist for almost a year and he taught me a lot of techniques to help me get over panic disorder so let me know if you have any questions about anything. Hang in there!!
