I have been diagnosed with anxiety and have tightness in the front of my neck and a heavy feeling in the upper part of my chest which is there all the time. Anyone out there with a similar experience? ermes.

I had those feelings before my hypothyroidism was optimally treated. Make sure your your thyroid function has been tested, and realize that doctors are often wrong about the interpretation of them.

I have had, due to anxiety, trouble swallowing large pills, and a feeling of tightness in my throat. Usually, if I wait a while, my anxiety somewhat goes away, and I am able to swallow the pill. Anxiety can cause all sorts of problems, but if you think it is more than anxiety, you may want to get another opinion.

The blood level of thyroxine is OK. Do you think it is still necesssary to have a thyroid function test?. Ermes
