Paxil CR questions - Anxiety Message Board

Hi I'm new to this board. I was on zoloft for nearly 2 yrs. I stopped feeling relief from anxiety taking them.
My Dr. switched me to paxil Cr.
I started off taking 12.5mgs. for 7 days. I felt fine.
He has increased the dosage to 25mgs. I've been taking that for 3 days now. I tremble after I take the pill And cannot sleep at night. I toss & turn all night long. I wake up drenched in sweat. I have some strange dreams all night long. My questions are: Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how long did it last? Also, should I call my Dr. And ask him if I can stick with the lower dose for awhile? Is there anyone on this Paxil Cr that benefits from a low dose of 12.5?

hi katiejc welcome aboard ,, to answer your question yes those cold be side effects from the medication (paxil) you should still tak to your doctor about it just to make sure but when i took paxil i remember those being side effects of the meds take care !

Hi Katiejc~ I have been taking Paxil CR for 6 weeks. I started at the same dosage as you (12.5) and went up to 25 mgs. after 7 days. I had the identical symptoms you did, but I am feeling so much better! The side effects from the Paxil are pretty much gone, and so is most of my anxiety. Try to hang in there if you can. I hope you feel better soon!

Does the sleepiness go away? I already drag my "you know what" as is in spite of eating extremely well, weight training and a bit of cardio.
