new and need advice - Anxiety Message Board

Hello,
I'll make it short and sweet- just wondering what all this means. At times I get this HUGE overwhelming feeling when I look around at my house. You know what I mean, the messes here and there- laundry, kids toys, dishes. I am not a pig, just the usual everyday stuff bothers soooo bad that sometimes i feel like i could literally go crazy. This best describes the feeling- it feels like I am in the center of a tornado looking at all the mess twirling around me. another thing is at times I feel like just doing simple everyday things is such a huge task. I swear sometimes just making coffee is such a burden. I know that noone wakes up in the mornings all sunshiney everyday, but I feel like this is not normal. It may need to be known I gave birth 4 months ago.

welcome it does sound like post natal depression and is very common, phone around for any local new mothers groups, also ask and phone around for any free help or advice from local *************, docs often wont tell you about these groups as they dont want their patients getting together and comparing notes on their doctors

an antidepressant med is a possibility but these dont always help and early side effects can be severe.
