hello all. i'm currently on ortho tri cyclen but for the last 2 months i've been having bad mood swings and pretty low to extremely high sex drive. so i think it would be best for me to switch to a monophasitic pill. so can anyone here offer any suggestions as to what pill i should switch to. i've been reading up on Aleese and Ortho-Cyclen, but i dont know what the doasage of those pills are. so can anyone help? thanks a bunch.

Well I'm Alesse, and it's one of the lowest dose BCPs you can take. I know Ortho Cyclen has a low-dose version...

Hi! I have been having the same problem as you, my doctor is switching me to Yasmin next month, made by Berlex laboratories. It is monophasic and uses a different type of progesterin, is supposed to decrease bloating also. Good luck!

I went from Ortho Tri Cyclen to Ortho Cyclen and it went very well. I also had wierd mood swings and low sex drive. I would highly recommend Ortho Cyclen.

so LinseyM, would you say your mood swing and sex drive improved because it you switched from a triphastic pill to a monophastic pill? i'm just asking because ortho cyclen has the same Androgenic Activity, Estrogenic Activity, and Progestational Activity as ortho tri cyclen.
