Please help!

Lately I've been very sensitive when I urinate, and have had the urge to 'go' a lot more often. When I do pee, there is no pain at all and it is normal colour/consistancy, but at the end of the urine flow I get a sensitive feeling around my clitoris area almost like an intense orgasm-like discomfort, if that makes sense! Sex does not hurt at all.
I'm not sure what this is - is it the beginnings of a Urinary tract infection, or a particularly mild case?

In any case, today I have been drinking a urinary Alkalizer 'Ural' and lots of water. If it is a UTI, is it possible for me to 'flush out' the infection in this manner (with cranberry juice, Ural, etc.) or is anti-biotic treatment the only way to clear it up?
I'm on the Pill so anti-biotic treatment would affect this, wouldn't it?

Please give me any treatment info you know of! I'd like to avoid anti-biotics if possible!

Thanx...I really need to know what this is.

It sounds like it could possibly be a UTI. If you have to 'go' a lot, but either you pee very little, or nothing at all, and it hurts a LOT, its probably a UTI. UTI's are usually very very uncomfortable, so if this lasts more than a day, i'd suggest going to your doctor.

I'm not sure if its possible to flush it out yourself, but usually its too painful to do this for most women. The doctor will give you some pills to fix it right up.

Go to the doctor to be sure...if you do have a UTI you need an antibiotic to help it heal.....I don't think you can just 'flush' it out of your system...

I had one last september and wound up in the ER at midnight one night because I thought it was my appendix....damn er tested for uti and didn't catch it so I had to wait three days while my doctor got my test results and retested before I got a diagnosis...

wasn't fun...

A Dr. I used to go to told me that she ended up in the hospital from a UTI that she had been trying to treat naturally.

From the sounds of it you probably don't have a UTI. Every time I have had one, or anyone else that I know of had one the pain was so intense that I would quit drinking until the Dr. could get me in. Also a way you can tell is to check your urine for blood and tissue.

You need to see a doc if you think you have a UTI. They are not cured naturally and left untreated it could go into your bloodstream making you pretty sick. See the doc and get this checked out.

Thanks for replying --

I went to the doctor yesterday, and the test came up clear... but then I went to my OTHER doctor today, and he said that YES I had a UTI...strange.
The pain has increased and I'm very uncomfortable right now, but I've been given antibiotics that should clear it up I'm hoping.
I'll need to use condoms for 2 weeks, it looks like.

Ciao!

Tyger.
