hmmm spelling?
At anyrate, I found several studies proving that the use of Gluscosamine and Chondroitin were helpful in 80% of the patients. Anyone have more information on this? I know my pup had joint problems and the vet prescribed this. Unfortunately he had kidney failure a week later (we knew about it) and I do not know if it would have helped him any.
Thanks

OK... here's what I have heard... glucosamine is found in certain seafood products (therefore, you shouldn't take it if you have an allergy to shellfish). Chondroitin sulfate is a component in the cartliage and tissue of all animals.
I've started taking 1500 mg per day a year ago and it drastically decreased the clicking and joint pain. Again, this is my testimonial and of course, I can't speak for everyone.
But, ask anyone you know that has arthritis... I'm sure they heard about it and may be using it as well. The seniors in my family swear by it for their arthritis... it was easier for me to find arthritis sufferers than people with TMJ.
Take care!
Ingrid.

Ingrid,
Thank you so much! I am glad this worked for you. At this point, I am willing to try anything. I just got back from Macy's where I bought one of those contour pillows made out of the foam stuff. I read that if your a side sleeper its important you have a pillow that is not hard and one that molds to your head. Anyway... I also picked up a combo of the two glus. and the other... from GNC. We'll see!

Concerning pillows a sleep expert said a good pillow is from down feathers if you are not allergic and is very expensive about 100 dollars.

I also did try gluc. and chondrt. complex too. It seemed like it helped with my jaw problems some but I am not 100% sure if it actually did me any good or it was just a placebo effect. But certainly it did not make matters worse for me.
