I was wondering if this symptom is to be connected to tmjd. I sometimes get blurry vision in just one eye, the right one (and I have most of my ear symptoms in the left ear...) The blurry vision can last for a few hours and then it gets back to normal. Anyone has the same?

Hi fibrine,
I had to leave my university science program because of blurry vision. A number of books I've read have talked about a connection between Tmjd and blurry vision. As well, I've come across a good number of Tmjers who experience this symptom. It can be a very strange feeling, can't it ? I used to find that when I was in a room with fluorescent lights, things could seem so blurry, that it felt like I was peering at people and objects 'through a fog', but not really seeing them clearly. I also found that this blurry vision seemed to affect my thinking. When I was in a room with bright fluorescent lights, I would often feel 'in a major daze' !!
As with many Tmj symptoms, if you can find something to help the joints and muscles as a whole..this goes a long way to addressing the individual symptoms like blurry vision...which are a spin off of the underlying Tmj condition.
God bless,
John

Hi:
I have alot of problems with blurred vision too although I didn't realize it was connected to my TMJ. It's a shame the medical/dental community can't come up with treatment for a disorder that affects so many people in so many aspects of their lives.

Hey,
I've had blurry vision so bad, that my doctor said I needed glasses! Of course I couldn't wear them because I didn't need them! Then they said I had severe dry eyes...again, drops help when they dry out, but don't help with the blurry vision! Just another joy to deal with on a bad day!
