Hi Everyone,
I had to tell you the odd situation that has happened with me.
I was feeling terrible a few weeks ago, but I was also under very heavy stress. I have a sewing business in my basement and I make competition dance costumes. Each Spring brings so much stress and it seems I take on more each year. This year I made over 300 costumes. Anyway, I finished my deadline the other day.
My husband and I took the kids out of town for a nice relaxing weekend but the bad part was that I was hit with bronchitus. My constant coughing was driving everyone crazy and it caused me to have to stop wearing my splint, even at night, which I never go without.
Here is the odd part, (finally, sorry). I am feeling alot better in the tmj area. I have been without my splint for 5 days, but I have also been without much stress for 5 days. I am really wondering which caused the improvement.
My muscles are relaxed in my neck and shoulders and I have not had to take motrin for pain at all. I also went back on the elevil (10 mg at night) because I can stand the tiredness in the am again since I don't have to rush down to work.
I plan to continue all 3 of these changes and see how my jaw feels.
Thanks for listening to my ranbling all the time you all. Have a great day.
Mary ;)

Hi Mary,
That is interesting. It's great to hear that you're seeing some improvement.
If it works, stick with it!

Hi Mary:
This is great news. Who really knows if it was the stress or the splint but who really cares, less pain= more happiness. :) Anyway, do let us know if you do figure out which it was.

OK, forget that. Today I had lunch with my girlfriend and ate quesadeas (SP?) as an indulgence and talked like crazy for 1.5 hours. When I left I had such a terrible headache that it made me end my day early and I almost vomited. UGH, just when I was hoping for better. I am coughing alot still, so don't think I can use my splint yet but I may try tonight. THanks for cheering me on for a few good days anyway!
