hi All, I've been posting over ont he inner ear message board along with Hbep who has also been posting here lately. In short, I have had disequilibrium/dizziness for 6mths. ENT specialist has diagnosed labrinthitis. Dizziness has improved but still there and some weeks worse than others. Had blocked ears right at start and some popping but nothing now, just dizziness and viral symptoms - fatigue etc.
Have always had tension headaches and went to a Chiropractor for 5 years but no real effect....so went to acupuncture...that helped so much.
Then, over past few wks, headaches flared up again, acupuncture didnt seem to help, so went back to Chiropractor wo adjusted my neck and the next say I wake up with jaw pain - it's def muscle pain really but all along my jaw and face, also bit of ear pain. It's agony!
Could this be TMJ? Can TMJ ever be temporary? Will the muscle pain go? Should I leave it for a few wks and then go to a TMJ specialist? When I open my jaw wide, it clicks but has always done that.
Help appreciated! xxx

I would go and have yourself evaluated. Although and dentist, orthodontist, etc can go to a weekend course and get a piece of paper saying that they are a TMJ specilist. Ask your chiro to feel around your jaw, or also he could have moved the bones a bit wrong too. But the clicking in your jaw is a TMJD symptom. Good luck.
