Be safe out there. I don't really know that much about SARS heading out there, if you guys are even close to it, but please be careful.

Toronto was the 2nd place to get it.
It all started with one person coming back from China, and went from there. It's pretty crazy.
I am only 45 mins away from Toronto, and our Hospitals are screening people and everything. I've seen the odd few people wearing masks.
Crazy stuff...

That sounds so scary. Be careful. Especially when you go to hospitals or any tmj appointments. You never know what is out there.

Thanks for your concern, however the SARS scare has been blown WAY out of proportion. We live about 100 kms from Toronto, and my husband is a firefighter in Toronto. He uses precautions while on the job, but nothing more than he usually would. I personally wash my hands more often.
The SARS cases in Toronto can be traced back to a few people, and if I'm not mistaken, the youngest person to die was 44 years old. And that person was already suffering from other illnesses. At least half of the confirmed cases have recovered so far.
So again, as a Canadian I appreciate your concern, but please take what you hear with a grain of salt. We're not surrounded by the black plague up here. :)
Take care,
Crystal

Crystal, I am so glad to hear that. SARS and the war seems to be the big cases for the t.v.. I am so gald that you feel safe. If you can keep me updated on the "real" situation out there. The newsreporters make it sound really scary... you said it, they do make it sound like you are living in the black plague. I am glad that this is not the case.

Crystal,
Where abouts in Ontario are you? You said 100 km's outside of T.O.
I am about that as well.. I am in Brantford, just outside of Hamilton.

Heather,
It is really nice that some of our neighbours to the south are interested in hearing the real story. We're keeping our fingers crossed, but it sounds like new cases of SARS are slowing down considerably. I can't speak for other countries like China, but Canada has done an excellent job of containing this illness.
Twiztid - what a small world! I'm also in Brantford.
