Hey everyone, just wondering what I should do about my lower jaw. Its after dislocating, it kinda juts out now Makes eating and talking very sore. My specialist has been most unhelpful and hes the only one in the country. Woo hoo. Should I ask an ortho to realign it using some kind of appliance? I don't really think I could go on looking like this, not being able to talk properly etc, not to mind the pain. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Ladida :)

I'd suggest putting alot of time into researching your new doctor. Ask your current doctors first and see who they recommend and tell them you're willing to travel. Plan on driving at least 3 hours if you have to, so check other states for telephone listings and websites. Ask friends for extra phone books out of your area, then I'd say visit their website and get a feel for what they know. It's hard to believe so many good tmj doctors aren't up with the times and have a website but it doesn't surprise me. I'm having alot of pain lately myself not that its something new. Trouble talking and pain when I do all that. Take care and keep ur spirits up. Eric
