Some of you have been mentioning that TENS units help you with the pain. I have a TENS unit that is not specifically made for TMJ but for any type of injury. The smallest electrodes I can get are 2 inches x 2 inches. Can you tell me where you put the electrodes to stop muscles spasms in the face and jaw area? I have had little luck with placing both electrodes on the masseter muscle (muscle connecting the cheek bone to the jaw). My TMJ doc has NO CLUE when it comes to TENS units. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello-
The founder of nueromuscular dentistry, Dr. Bernard Jankelson helped design the unit, just go do a search for him on the internet and you should be able to find info out on it.
HOpe you are doing well
