Hi,
I have read most of your posts regarding your situation on your new splint made by the Neur dentist. You said that it was very expensive to have this splint made...how much did it cost...and what is your problem with tmj?
Would appreciate any word.

Hi Sandi -
Well, my splint cost $4,600.00. Ouch. But, that is the way things are where I live. Low population really effects cost of anything here. AND the splint is working great. I am so pleased with it.
Now what symptoms have you had? What do your dentists say?
Here is my list of symptoms I had:
Fullness in right ear
Ringing in the ear
Pain in the ear
Pain, right side of my face,
Numbness right side of face, running down jaw line to right corner of lip.
Shoulder/neck pain
Dizziness
Vertigo – queasy stomach when that happens, not an upset stomach, just queasy.
Eye Pain
Sensitive to light
Sensitive to noise
Droopy eye, right eye
Headaches, forehead, all over head
What I thought were sinus headaches
Ghost tooth pain, back upper right, sometimes spreading to lower back teeth but not as strong.
Right lymph feeling swollen
Crackling sound in ear
Crackling sound in neck
Watery eye – right one only
Blood shot eye, right one only
Problems with vision in right eye
Temple area pain.
Soft food diet as eating hard things really irritates and makes symptoms worse
Jitters – controlled by no longer taking tylenol
Real sensitive head hair.
All are gone excluding an occasional ring in the ear & some tightness in my muslce right below my ear in the morning when I get up... other then that, I am doing great.

Thank you for your speedy reply. Wow...$4,600.00!!! I don't understand that! I do understand that having a neur dentist is very expensive...but a splint that is over $4,000.00...you got me here! Can you explain to me if that cover other things besides just the splint? I was talking to another dentist.. a neur dentist by email, and he told me that he and the other dentists on staff all went to the LVI...that he makes neur splints the same way a neur dentist would make. Anyway...I can't really understand how your splint was so over the top in the price. What is your treatment plan for your tmjd other than wearing this splint for now? Are you planning on getting braces or what? I read your symptoms...but you didn't mention limited jaw opening...you don't have that? Do you have dislocated discs or what? I am sorry I am asking so many questions...I am in the middle of making a decision about getting braces or not...it's kind of hard for me to decide.
