Hi Jennifer,
I was reading your post on the surgery and thank you for writing it as I think that's my next step. Right now I have to have $6,000 worth of dental work done, all out of pocket (Thank God for family)then will have to make that decision. My question is: Do you still wear a splint or has the surgery resolved everything?
Thanks, Jill

Sorry Jill, I've been out of pocket for a while...I do wear a splint now, but only at night to keep from grinding my teeth...the PT has removed all other problems....
The surgery was a godsend both times...I know that sounds ridiculous to say both times, but considering I had ten years in between surgeries and no other problems besides some minor muscle issues when I overdid it, I'd say things have been just fine!
I still have no perforations to my disks and good bone health besides some minor wearing due to age...surgery can be a valid decision for someone who has the same type of problems that I had!
Hope this helps! Let me know if I can answer any other questions! Good luck with the dental work! Remember, the slower the better! :D
