Hey Tiffany: How are you? I haven't talked to you in awhile. I have my 2nd PT treatment today. The first one was Tuesday and it went pretty well. I don't know how long I'll be needing to go, but my bite did close up a little bit since then. I saw the TMJ DDS yesterday. I'm seeing a Rheumatologist next month to see if I have Fibro, although I told the PT and DDS I don't think I do. Of course, I wouldn't know. I supposed she'll order lab work and push on the "tender points." Maybe she can also figure out what to do about my screwed up knees that make walking an ordeal. The right one was operated on last year, but still hurts and is stiff. Hope to hear from you soon. Hugs, Sue

It's so sweet of you to think about me. I read your post regarding PT and the exercises you will be doing. It sounds like alot but if it works will be well worth all the work. I think the problem with adults is that things want to go back into the position they have been in for so long and that make things more difficult for us. I think the same problem arises in adulthood braces. All our muscles are "old" and have already decided where they want to stay and it seems they have the control. :D I remember your splint was quite thick in the beginning...has it been adjusted down thinner now? My splint should arrive at my orthodontists office next week so hopefully I will be getting it no later than the week after next. I am so ready to feel better. I keep holding onto the hope that this guy can and will help me. A positive attitude certainly can't hurt. I hope you have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Tiffany

Hey Tiffany: I think of you often. My muscles have been tight for so many years that I feel like I need to be stretched from head to toe on one of those racks. LOL. Yes, my splint has been adjusted several times and wearing it doesn't feel uncomfortable anymore. I wonder what it will be like when he can finally convert it into a nightguard. I know how much you want to be out of pain and you deserve it. I know what it's like to have hope and then things fall apart. I was very skeptical that I'd find a good TMJ guy, but my current one is such a gem. It's hard for me to be positive about things too b/c we've been burned so many times already. This guy has got to be the right one for you!!!!!!! Hope you won't be in pain over the weekend. Hugs, Sue
