I have been wondering why, this has happened. I also
wanted to make known that I was put on 600 mg of motrin
and 10 mg of flexeril at bedtime. The flexeril is a
muscle relax. med. So far it seems to be doing its
job, but at times when I get stressed then the pain
returns. I only have a month supply of the medication.
I wonder what will happen when the month is up.
This has been a long summer for me. My children ages
14 and 12 I love dearly but they need to return back
to school. At times it can be stressful. Kids get so
bored at times. I feel shameful for counting down the
days for when they return back to school (50)
I also was sent to rehab for my jaws. I go three days
a week. It is close to my home so that helps. I really
wonder if the rehab, will be helpful.
I guess I am venting alot , for that I am sorry.
Just alot of things to think about. I thought of all
the nice people that write here. I wanted to share my
thoughts with anyone that cared to listen.
I still have to wear my night guard. As well.
Everyone take care, I will see you soon.

hey sting

all grey skies will turn blue again. i'm still waiting! and don't feel sorry for venting, we all have to do it sometimes. this is just one of those unexpected life changing experiences that we wish we didn't have to go through. just know that nothing will last forever. hang in there :)

Hi Sting:
Don't feel bad that you are counting down the days until your kids go back to school. When a person is in pain it just seems that everything gets on the nerves. I know you are a good mother and love your kids very much. You are just not feeling well. Don't be so hard on yourself ok.

Hi Sting,

I think our stress level increase because look at everything we have to deal with. Pain takes a lot out of a person. Our body is trying so hard to deal with what is causing the pain then it needs to try to deal with everday life, we can get very run down.
Don't feel bad if you want your kids to go back to school and want some peace and quiet. that is a natural feeling, especially if you are dealing with tmj. Alot of doctor's don't even know how to treat us let alone make the pain go away, so they always perscribe medicine.

it is a vicious cycle of spasms, pain, anxiety.
the pain gets you tense which in turn makes the pain worse
