Hey Cheryl, How was the weekend? How is Mike doing and how are you? Only 4 more days to go till the big appt. I am saying prayers for Mike everyday!
Things are pretty good here. The weekend was so busy but yet fun. Yesterday we skipped the picnic we were invited to and also skipped church. We all slept late and then lounged around in my parent's pool for a couple hours. Then we cooked out on the grill and had a picnic of our own for dinner. It was so nice to have a family day for once. With Mike playing softball every Sunday we usually don't get to do that.
I am still feeling pretty good. My gums are healing up pretty well and my bite still feels better. The tooth itself is still not 100%. Don't know if it ever will be? I am still taking Flexeril but am going to wean down to only 1/2 pill tonight and see how it goes. Still wearing the upper splint at night too. I hope I can get away with just the splint and no meds. for a few weeks anyway. Then if it flares up I will take the Flexeril again.
Well, keep me posted and take care, Michelle

Hi Cheryl,
So sorry to hear that you had a headache on the 4th. Doesn't it figure? I know what you mean about the fireworks being too loud. Lately loud noises have been bothering me. I used to love to play my 70's music very loud but I just can't anymore. Anyway, we did take Emily to see the fireworks, but we didn't sit right in the park. We stayed on a street 1/2 way across town and we could see them all and they were not nearly as loud. They were very good this year.
I will really be thinking and praying for Mike on Friday with all the appts. This is it, the splint that is going to help him with his pain. Almost here. And that is great that the chiro and masso are upping it to 2 treatments again to help with the neck pain. Like I said before, that neck pain is the pits. I know you know that. It makes you feel so lousy altogether when it hurts.
I only took 1/2 Flexeril last night and so far so good. I know I need to give it time but I have a positive feeling here. This new crown just feels so much better. Even though it is only a temporary crown I am keeping it till it falls off. (just hope the dentist agrees) My next appt. at the dentist is not till August 14th for my first cleaning and xrays there. (the TMJD dentist) Otherwise unless I need the splint adjusted or have a problem with the crown I can just wait till then. Hard to believe I get a month off from the dental chair.
Well, enjoy the rest of the time with your family. I am glad you are having a nice time with them all there. It makes for a nice change, doesn't it? I will talk to you soon and let me know what happens on Friday. Take care, Michelle

Cheryl,
Well, I guess I spoke to soon about feeling good on only 1/2 flexeril. Today my neck (and back) is really bothering me and I can feel that pressure feeling in my ears that I get. Plus my teeth feel really off. Seems like every time I try to get off the flexeril this happens. I am still going to try to get off it and see what happens. Maybe when it is out of my system for a week or so things will calm down. I told Mike that I wonder if I over exerted my neck muscles and back muscles while taking the flexeril since they were so relaxed and now they hurt from that. I think if the neck pain gets too bad I am going to make an appt. with my doctor for a treatment to see if that will help any. I know I just need to give this time.
Did you get your air fixed? I hope so. 87 in the house is definitely too hot for me so I don't blame you for going up to your Mom's. Did you end up sleeping there? I hope you get it fixed fast this time of year. Wow, your pool water is hot too. Wish my Dad's would warm up some. His is a bit chilly yet, but he put a solar cover on now to try to keep some warmth to it the next few days. A cool front is passing in and I think tomorrow is only supposed to be in the 70's. Sounds good to me.
Well, that is good that your headache is better, but sorry to hear that your neck is bothering you. I can totally understand how you are feeling with that. It does seem that it feels some better when it cracks, you are right about that. Too bad that doesn't cure it for us, huh?
Well, only 2 days till Mike gets his splint. I am sure this splint is going to help him alot. Especially with all the detail that the neuro. dentist goes into to make it. It will be a perfect fit and will help Mike's bite to get back online when it is in and relax all those muscles. I know the "what if's" are always there, but try to think positive. I am praying about it every night for you Cheryl.
Well, it is past Emily's bedtime and she has camp early tomorrow. Yuck, tomorrow is my cleaning and laundry day. Wish I could snap my fingers and have them all done. ( I wish that about alot of things) I will talk to you soon. Let me know about Friday then. Take care, Michelle

Hey Cheryl,
Well, I am feeling a bit better today. Not holding my breath but maybe it was just a fluke. I did sleep in yesterday since there was no camp so maybe that was some extra clenching. Last night I only got about 6 hours so I probably gave myself a break. Isn't it terrible that we need to sleep less to not be in pain?
That is sad news that Mike's friend is moving away. Will it be far or will they still be able to get together sometimes? I am sure Mike will miss him alot. (and you too by this time) It seems to help Mike to have him around. Keeps his mind off things. I know I actually like busy days for that reason.
Oh, Emily loves camp. It is only in the mornings from 9-12 till August 1st. It is through the local school district and Penn State college is involved too. She went last year and enjoyed it so I decided it will be a regular summer event for her. It helps me too so I can get some of my work done.
Well, tomorrow is the big day!!!! Yay!! Let me know how everything goes. Talk to you then. Take care, Michelle

Cheryl,
I just had to write real quick when I saw the part about your brother in law. My Mike's family is the same way. We only see them once in a great while and that is too much. Some of them are lunatics too. Same as you said they were raised so different from how I was raised. I am so glad my husband came out the way he did. His Dad is really nice and we do talk to him alot. I call him to check on him every week. But Mike did not even know him growing up because his Mom moved them around so much. She has been married 6x.(need I say more?) Anyway, just another thing we have in common, huh?
I will be praying really hard for you and Mike tonight for tomorrow's appt. Actually I am going to mass at 8 am tomorrow before I take Emily to camp so I will say some prayers there too. Take care, Michelle
