Hello everyone:

I am new to this board, but I have had the pleasure of getting to read most of the posts here, and by reading these posts, it has helped me deside to see if anyone hear can help me. I would like to start out by telling you a little bit about my problems. About four years ago, I started having problems with this pressure in the back of my kneck, and it's right at the base of my skull. The pressure or feeling of pain I have is hard to explain, but the pressure causes me this brain fog, dream state type of feeling so to speak. And sometime last yearl the pain started to generate into my jaws. So, now I have this aching, throbbing pain that starts into my jaws that makes my teeth hurt terribly, and also goes to the base of my skull and kneck, and the brainfogish feeling is getting worse. My eyes are beginning to hurt, which makes it very very hard to drive at night when headlights are beaming in my eyes. My jaws click, pop, and grind when I sometimes open my mouth. I have noticed that my pain is less in the mornings, but as the day goes by, the pain gets worse. I would like to add that I have racked my brain trying to figure out why I am having this pain or what I did to cause it, and all I have came up with was, that it all started when I had my wisdom teeth taken out about 4 years ago. So, I went to the maxiofacial doctor that took them out, and he said that my pain wasn't from anything he did. So I went to my regular dentist, and he told me that he didn't know what was causing the pain either. Since then, I have went to several neurologists, one pain managment doctor, and several ENT's. I have had several MRI's of my kneck, and one of my head, but nothing has shown up, which aggrivates me dearly. The only thing I haven't had yet is a MRI of my jaws. And I am wondering why none of the doctors I have seen has requested this to be done, yet? So my question is, does anyone know of a great TMJ specialist in East Tennessee? I am need of some help becuse my career depends on it. The last maxiofacialists I seen here gave me a hard splint and didn't even ask me any questions nor didn't take any tests. All he kept on stating to me was that I was clenching my teeth. And I know for a doubt that I am not. So If anyone knows of anyone that has given them good results or has heard of giving good results please let me know? Thanks, and I look forwared to meeting everyone.
