Cranial scaral therapy can be a very powerful thing and so you need to choose your practitioner carefully.
It is not th same thing as cranial osteopathy though. Could help you a lot though.

My PT has been doing a mixture of craniosacral and ultrasound. It seems to help me - and it really clears out my ears and sinuses too.

I can already see that it is a powerful thing...last time i went i cried afterward. No good reason, but I felt good about that...unfortunately I still have no pain relief......

It is strange but so many people I talk to who have carnial-sacral therapy report that they cry during or after it. It is difficult to explain why. But the fact you did shows that it is having an effect of sorts so stick with it.

Michael (ironic?)
I will stick with it as long as my insurance pays...unfortunately that is only 6 more treatments...I am a little sad about that. Anyway...
I also have my name on a waiting list of someone who does somatic-emotional release...I think that will be good for me as well. She is a PT so hopefully my insurance will cover. I can't really afford any out of pocket stuff. :(
Thanks for your replies! K

I have no experience with somatic-emotional release but I guess I can work out what it is. Generally, I think that anything that makes you "feel" better is probably a good thing but CST can, as I said be very powerful and you need to be carfeul.
My general view is that for all but the very chronic and acute cases of PMT, techniques which "unravel" your muslces and bio-mechanics will generally solve much of the problem.
I read how many people and dentists and specialists people go to - often at the same time - and I just think it is making things worse. "TMJ doctors", to Dentist, to pysiotherapists, chiropractors, etc etc etc. Nothing especially wrong with any of them but perhaps not all at once!
The head, neck and jaw are very inter-related and the muscle gorups and anatomy is complex and sometimes very tiny. The smallest problem with the balance can cause hideous problems. Stick with it and don't get too varied with your treatments.

Hey, I tried sacro and found it great!!! I had almost total relief during treatment, but a few weeks after I stopped the pain came back, not as bad,m ind you, but I think that my problem is more related to the mis-alignment of my jaws and I gues sacro cant fix that..

In regards to crying after cranial work, we store our emotions in our body. I would bet $1,000 that most of the people on this board have a problem expressing themselves or speaking their truth. I know all the jaw, teeth, sinus problems I have are related to that. When you don't release emotions they cause havoc on your body. So for your body to go back into proper alignment, you must release what is keeping you from the proper alignment...does that make sense? So crying is fantastic. I did some rolfing and had some amazing experiences. I am trying out the cranial stuff very soon. Flower essences (aka Bach Flowers) are great for releasing emotions in a very subtle way. There is actually one for jaw related issues- it is called "snapdragon."
