I was diagnosed with TMJ 2 years ago and started the splint 24/7. this did help and i still use it. but these days my headache, discomfort in ear and dizziness are all coming back. Has anyone had this kind of experience? Does this mean I have to change the doctor? what is going on? i am quite depressed...
thank you.
thank you.

Paloalto,
The only thing I can say to you is that, if I were you, go back to your dentist and explain to him your situation...(headaches, discomfort, etc.)Then work from there. Maybe you just need another adjustment on your splint? So, see your dentist again and find out what he thinks what needs to be done.

This iscally22 and I agree with the other posting. No use in switching doctors just yet. But if he/she doesn't seem to be helpful,or doesn't try to fix your problems(pain, dizziness) then I might check out other doctors. Good luck!

Hi paloalto:
One quick question..do you live in Palo alto? I used to live there is why I ask. Regarding your problems starting up again perhaps all you need is an adjustment to your splint. Have you spoken with whoever made it for you? It's possible that an adjustment would take care of your problems.
