I tried Skelaxin for my TMJ symptoms. I felt it did not work. It actually kept me up all night. My ortho prescribed me Klonopin. It is a controlled substance but he only prescribed .5mg/night. I found it helped a great deal! My headaches went away and I did not grind my teeth nearly as much as I did without it.

clonazepam is the same as klonopin, right? i was on that for quite some time a few years ago for sleep purposes. i believe that it knocked me out at night, and made me sleep forever. it didnt touch my muscle pain.
