Hi Alex:
Have you gotten your splint yet? If so, how did the adjustment appointment go, and how is it feeling. I've been taking pain and muscle relaxants, so I've got my days all mixed up. I can't remember if you were getting it last week or this week.
Anyway, I'm interesting in hearing how it went, what kind of splint you've got, and if you got one or two splints, as I know some people get one for day and one for sleeping in.
Alex, what do you do if you need any adjustments since you're out of state (I believe)? When do have to go back to see the dentist?

Hi Arleen,
I got my lower stabilizing splint. I had one adjustment only, and that was when I got the splint. It feels more comfortable compared to the previous two I had. You apparently do not need many adjustments with the neuro splint. Anyway, it is too early to say how much it helps, as my main problems are the ear ringing, pressure, vertigo and the joint clicking noises. If for some reason I need an adjustment (if it feels bad), I have to go back to B's office. That is certainly a time-consuming trip. I will follow up in a couple of months if I do not have problems with the splint, and sooner if I do. We have not set any timetable on further steps. It all depends on how things work out with the splint. Alex

I'm glad to hear you got your splint. I hope it helps with all your problems. Sometimes it takes a while for all the symptoms to disappear. It's certainly encouraging that it fits better than previous splints. Does it have indentations? How many hours per day do you wear it?
Does Dr. B. anticipate you'll need an adjustment any time soon? Aren't you from out of state? I've spoken to Dr. B. and his assistant, and they seem very knowledgeable and passionate about what they're doing. What was your impression?
It's so difficult finding a good dentist. It sounds like you already know that, since you've had other splints. I hope this splint does the trick for you! :)

It is a lower splint with indentations from the teeth impressions. I wear it 24 hrs 7 days a week, except when I eat or brush my teeth. He does not anticipate any adjustments. I had to travel from a neighboring state (Arizona). I hope the splint helps. I have already spent a lot of money on splints, and the previous two were harmful. My most difficult problem is the tennitus. That is the worst too. I believe it took Cymy sue a few weeks to see improvements with hers. I hope I see improvements too, as it is incredibly hard to deal with. It will probably help with joint clicking, grating and the mild to moderate pain first, if at all.
