Hi All:

I'm wondering if anyone in Canada, particularly in Ontario has purchased a myotronics tens unit. If so, could you please give me an idea of cost, and if you ordered directly from Myotronics, or had your dentist do so. I seem to remember someone in Ontario ordering one, and I'm thinking of doing likewise, as I've tried one and found it's helped with pain.

THank you,
Arleen

Hello Arleenarooney-
I wonder if you can purchase one in Canada without a prescription?? Or does Canada basically follow FDA rules from United States?
Perhaps requesting information from myotronics to find out where to purchase???
Take care

Hi Arleen,

I think someone on the boards once said you needed a doctors prescription, but, I'm not positive. I would contact the company and ask them how to purchase one. If you need a doctors prescription, I would think that one of the zillion dentists you've seen could write you a prescription. After all they put you through, they at least owe you that much :)

I hope you are feeling better lately. If the tense unit helped you, I hope you are able to purchase one.

Take care!

Hi Velvetgrl:

Thanks for your comments. I believe I may need a doctor's prescription but I'll contact the company first to see what they say.

Looks like you're catching up to me in the number of dentists department, especially since you're now moving on from your current dentist. It doesn't seem like you've given your splint a lot of time to work before moving on. I hope the new dentist can help you.

Take care,
Arleen

Alreen!
I just remembered something!
If you call the company, ask about refurbished units. It seems to me somewhere on the board someone said something about them "possibly" selling refburbished units at a much lower price.
Let me know what they say, I just found out a dear artist friend of my in Canada is now struggling with TMJD :-(
Take care

Hi Arleen,

How have you been?? I hope you've been managing okay. My son has one of these units at home which his dentist had to order for us. Since you're in Canada....I'm not quite sure if the same wouldn't apply to you or not. Like Diane suggested, I'd probably call the company and ask. :) Take Care and don't be a stranger!

Good morning Arleen -
Let us know when you get a hold of the company, I will be interested in seeing if they have refurbished ones.
