Hi,
I know how you feel, but I think sometimes people just don't have an answer for some of our questions. I know that when I post something I am back checking every hour or so to see if anyone has replied. Please don't get discouraged if you don't get an answer to all your questions. I know I tend to do that because this board is my life line. I don't get out much and have no one to talk to about all the different symptoms that I find confusing and sometimes scary.
By the way and you may have already mentioned this, what are your symptoms? Have you seen anyone yet? I hope this finds you feeling better. I wish i had all the answers to this tmj mess and could advise everyone on this board how to get well!
Hope this finds you feeling better.
Grace

people have been responding to your posts. and if someone hasnt responded to a post.. maybe no one knows the answer or the answer may just be a "search" away. :)
it's not like people are purposefully ignoring you. dont get discouraged.. if someone has an answer to your questions, they'll give it.
btw, in canada, we just celebrated our thanksgiving this weekend - many canadians are here, and were probably away from computers.. i know im attempting to get caught up with all of the posts.

I can understand why you feel that way, but I don't think it is really anything personal. For example, I posted a question on "Can you work with your TMJ"; and I think almost close to 200 people read the post, but I had maybe four replies. I thought it was a pretty much a yes or no answer.
I think there are many reasons why people don't respond. There are many variables, which we will never know. TMJ can really make you feel isolated. You may be like me in that I know no one personally that has TMJ. We can't compare notes with them about our illness. If we were having a hysterectomy we could find many people who have experienced this surgery. TMJ has a way of isolating you from the world. I have seriously wondered what the suicide rate is amoung TMJD victims, because it isn't covered by insurance, no one seems to know anything about it, and treatment options are next to nothing. I mean talk about dispair.
I hope you can hang in there.
