hi everyone
well, i have had chronic bladder infection for some time now, and i was curious if there was a better homiphathic method that was "more" effective, i have tried everthing, cranberry juice by the gallons, anti-biotics, and i really have nothing more to try, i have been to see the doctor over 8 dozen times, so if anyone has "any" information on something that really worked for them please let me know...and i also had kidney cancer when i was young so it is impairitive that i find a cure or at least a treatment.
thanx

In view of your comments, I would say you need to see another Doctor. Even if you have already seen more than one. In some areas there are clinics that specialize in Urology.
You might want to try one of those. I am sorry you are having to put up with this illness. I know the stress and pain associated with it is terrible. I hope you find your answer soon.
Peace

Hi China, I used to suffer from lots of bladder cystitus symptoms. Sometimes the urine contained bacteria.Often it did not or I had to be just about dead to show any infection. Then I learnt about IC which made heaps of sense for me. For instance I had been told that cranberry juice was the thing to take with Ic it is the worst thing. You can be checked for IC with a bladder distention but you may like to try diet. Avoid taking foods containing benzoates including soft drinks, bananas, pumpkin. Eat pumpkin seeds. My friend uses a sulphur based drug with this diet program and is fine now. Another finds a small dose of antidepressant at onset of symptoms very good. It seems to be a function of a poor autoimmune system. For instance people with lupus are more likely to suffer IC as well. You may find it just a layer in amongst other health problems. Lots of DRs don't seem to know that much about IC, including urologists. All the best.

Hi.
You should really ask your doctor if there is bacteria in your urine or not. Then you can at least pin down if you have an actual infection. I had bladder infections for years and now have IC (Interstitial Cystitis). Before IC, I did find it better not to drink acid foods, like juice and to stay away from sugar. By the way, Cranberry juice from the grocery is about 1000% sugar and a waste of time. If you're going to try Cranberry at least get it from the health food store or try cherry juice. Neither ever helped me though. What did help was making sure everything that touched me was really clean, specially during sex. I think I was really getting them from sex. I was always really careful of everything else. If bacteria is getting into your bladder it's coming from somewhere. I'm sure you've heard all the stuff about pantyhose, cotton underwear, etc., I would try, however, to make sure whatever is going to be in that area be exceptionally exceptionally clean.

Can you guys spell IC phonetically? (The way it sounds when you say it or hear it) I have chronic ones too. At least one a month. What a pain?! I know they are induced by a couple of things: sex and my kidney disease. Both have to do with bacteria...sooooo what do you guys do about the pain? I'm not talking about the stuff that makes your urine orange but the pain you have to endure the whole time you are waiting for the other stuff to kick in. Mine is so bad I can't sit still and it make me sick to my stomach. Glad to hear I'm not alone with these damn things. Thanks in advance. Best wishes.
