Hey Lane, I was just wondering what part of costal carolina are you from? I am in Augusta, Ga. but my family has a house on the water in Beufort, S.C. and my Dad lives in Myrtle Beach and we also spend lots of time in Hilton Head S.C. and I also have a good friend from Wilmington N.C.. I am in love with the coast, I actually spent a year working in Myrtle Beach and I loved it, would'nt mind living there or in Hilton Head. One of my favorite things to do is to throw my shrimp net in Beufort on our dock and my little girls love it there, they like going on the dock and putting some chicken on a string and catching crabs, they will stay out there all day long doing that!Also my dad and I do a deep sea fishing trip every year usually out of Charlston but we are going to go out of Little River, N.C. this year. Well I saw you are from the coast in carolina and it sparked my intrest, so I hope you dont mind me asking?

i'm from charleston. born & raised. i couldn't imagine living anywhere else! four years on top of a mountain in tennessee for college was enough for me. came right home afterwards. i love to fish, go fart around in the boat, take my son to the beach etc.....
i have good friends from hilton head and used to spend time down there too. now, if we could just do something about those pesky hurricanes!?!?! lol!

WOW,you are very lucky, Charlston is a beutiful place, we have gone fishing out of Mt. Pleasant many times! I just love those big bridges you have there! I actally heard they are building a new one to replace one of the old big ones,is that right?

those are the cooper river bridges and yes, construction is under way to replace both of them. good place to sheepshead fish however since 9-11 and construction can't go there anymore. same thing for the yorktown and port authority.

Charleston is a beautiful place. I spent a week at Kiawah Island back in the early '80s and just fell in love with the place. I really like the area down around Battery Park and Rainbow Road. Cool stuff.
