I have been on Adderal for years .. I am having a lot of trouble stopping it has anyone else tried to stop that was on it a long time

Do you have ADD? It is an amphetamine used mainly for that purpose and sometimes narcolepsy. I would talk to your doc about the sleep. Usually people on this for a long period are prescibed a sleep aid. Let me know how it goes. I am off now but the combo has wreaked my life and left me brain dead .. have add but always managed with exercise and diet , but when Dr.'s got me on this combo , I lost it all ... I am so lost now .. ice skater 08-17-2003, 05:02 PM My suggestion would be to go see the doc that ordered this combo. Tell him you want to taper off. Maybe the diet and exercise was the way to go.
