Thank you for your post. I have one more question, if you could please answer. Did the nutritionalists you've talked too say anything on the dangers or side effects if you have more amino acids in your body than you need. I was taking protein shakes for about a year that had amino acids in them, and amino acid supplements at the same time. I am now worried if their is a danger in having too many amino acids in your body.

never heard of any danger of too many aminos in your body. Unless you seriously overabuse protein.

Hi Skew,

I have not ever heard of any negative side effects from taking in "too many" amino acids. Of course you should always use the directions on the label of the product that you are wanting to use as a general guideline. My opinion is that under most circumstances you would get no benefit by using more than the recommended dosage unless told otherwise by a certified health professional.

According to the manufacturers of the protein and meal replacement products that I am currently using, there are no known side effects even if taking the maximum dosage up to 6 to 8 times per day. If I find out any different I will let you know.
