I recently heard that taking Apple Cider Vinegar Pills has all kinds of benefits. However, I can not seem to find what those benefits are. Does anyone know what exactly it is used for and what kind of dosage you would recommend? Thanks!

I did a seach for it and could not find anything out about a pill.
But, I drink apple cider and its good and good for you. My grand dad used to make a apple cider that was fermented and a few glasses of that would make you tippsy.

Hi,
There was a book published before 1960 named, "Vermont Folk Medicine" that tells about the benefits of using apple cider vinigar, honey and kelp. This book I believe introduced apple cider vinigar in health usage. It was re-published just "Folk Medicine" by Dr.Jarvis,MD in 1991 and can be obtained from most book stores and even Amazon.com.It cost about $6.It is worth getting and reading ---I found it very useful.
Take Care---Harry

The pills are useless. I tried them and they didn't work, at least not as well as the real thing. The active ingredient in the apple cider vinegar is the sediment (called the "mother"). Most vinegars do not contain them because consumer think it looks "Yucky"! I have a really good book that explains all of the great benefits of apple cider vinegar. It is written by Braggs. It explains everything that ACV can do. I suggest that you look into it. The reason that the pills do not work is that they do not have the "mother" in the pill. It is just the top layer. Good luck... :p

I read one of those old home remedy books a few years ago and I have been using apple cider vinegar ever since. It is supposed to give a little boost to the imune system. I take a teaspoon of vinegar in hot water and sweeten with just a little honey to make a nice tea. I have a sensitivity to perfumes, cleaning products, glues, etc and if I have an exposure that affects my breathing, I have a cup of tea and it opens everything up. If I feel a little sluggish I have a cup. I think I'll go have one right now!

Sounds like it is a really good thing to be taking. I like the tea idea. I drink tea all the time... Thanks for your advise. I think I'll start making apple cider vinegar tea to help my asthma. Thanks again!
