Hi guys,
My name is Ian, im 20, 5'10" and weigh around 238lbs. I want to lose roughly 50 - 60 lbs, and am starting in a gym soon as well as going on a low carb' diet (Atkins). I want to lose the weight as three yrs. ago I had a bad injury with my ankle andf it has never totally recovered I used to play a lot of sports including soccer, rugby and often went jogging. Now due to this injury the jogging can only last about 10 mins, and the football and rugby have gone out of the window. I have tried all types of support for my ankle but to no avail. Consequently Ive put on around 50 lbs since the injury and I bet some of you out there know how I am feeling at the moment? I really want to lose this weight as it is beginning to ruin my work and my social life.
Here's what I want from you if at all possible?

What are the best supplements to take whilst on a diet in order to speed up weight loss? Are there any defects?
If there is someone out therer in the same boat as me then what woulkd you suggest I do?
I have been told from a colleague in work that hydroxicut is a good fat burner, do you think I should take this? Are there any defects from this?

Hey Ian-
I am not sure about that one, but Xenadrine. Is a good one if you are going to be active. Also check out the weight loss board there are alot of people who have tried just about everything and they can give some good advice.
By the way I am 21 and looking to lose about the same amount!
Good Luck~!
