Does anyone know a good site where I can go to and find out what vitamins I need to match symptoms I have? I often get a really sore tongue with red patchy spots on it, I also get a lot of canker sores. My eyes also seem to be VERY sensitive to light. And my nails are very dry and brittle. I am a 27 year old female and up until recently I haven't taken any vitamins, except 7 years ago when I was pregnant and took prenatal vitamins, and I was anemic and I was supposed to take folic acid but I couldn't because it made me sick. A month ago I started taking Caltrate 600 plus for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which has pretty much cured me (after 7 long agonizing years (after the birth of my daughter)!!). Last night I bought B-complex vitamins because someone thought I should try it for my tongue problem. I am just looking for a good reliable site that isn't trying to sell me anything. Thanks.

Hi Shel,
There are alot of good books on the market but the one that is pretty complete is: "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by Dr James Balch. It has 776 pages and is full of information(nutritional, herbal, some homeopathic, and also regular medicine) and cost $24 retail but you can order it for as much as 40% off.
Most good vitamin sites that sell supplements usually have an independant section that relates about vitamins, minerals and other supplements.

Hey Shel, I would go to the Keyword and type in "Benefits of Vitamins" or be more specific like Benefits of Vitamin A....Should get plenty of info from that

I have done much research on supplements. I am a firm believer in the ability of the body to heal and maintain itself if given the proper fuel and resources.
By far the best and most reliable organization that I have found is Life Extension Foundation.
Best wishes
